Detectives investigating the murder of Fidel Glasgow in Coventry last week have arrested a man in connection with his death.
Fidel, aged 21, died in hospital hours after being stabbed outside Club M in the city centre in the early hours of Saturday 1 September.
Yesterday officers arrested a 23-year-old Coventry man on suspicion of his murder; he is being questioned at a West Midlands Police station.
Detective Inspector Harry Harrison, from the force’s homicide unit, said: “We have not let up in our search for Fidel’s killer and this is significant progress in our investigation.
“However this does not mean that we no longer need witnesses to come forward. I am still appealing for anyone with information to get in touch. It may be the crucial bit of the jigsaw that we need.
“Fidel’s family have been fully updated with the latest development and continue to be supported by specialist officers.”
