Businesses in Coventry are being invited to join one of the Midlands’ premier business support and networking organisations which is launching a new group in the city next month.
FaB Networking has chosen Coventry as the ideal location for its newest group and is inviting businesses to find out more at a special launch event on April 2.
FaB Networking Coventry will be the fifth group to join the FaB family, which has almost 100 members across the Midlands.
As well as making useful connections, building relationships and discovering new opportunities in their local area, members are also able to network across the successful existing groups in Tamworth, Nuneaton, Hinckley and Rugby.
The new Coventry group will be hosted by the family-owned artisan bakery and café bar, Backhaus & Co, which is located in the heart of Coventry’s creative and independent quarter, Fargo Village.
It will launch with an event on Tuesday, April 2, from 6pm to 8pm, and will be followed by monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month, at the same time and place.
FaB Networking operates a one seat policy per industry at its individual groups to maximise opportunities for each member, but all businesses interested in joining are invited to the launch to find out more.
To celebrate, any businesses signing up during the launch event will not have to pay the one-off £99 joining fee. Membership is just £25 per month, including attendance and refreshments at the monthly networking events.
The FaB ethos is all about providing the opportunity and a welcoming environment for local businesses to connect and grow – with no scary rules and a positive atmosphere.
It is run by mother and daughter team Amanda Bourne and Gemma Worthington. They said: “We are really excited to be launching FaB Networking Coventry and invite local businesses to come along and find out more about what we do and how we work. All of our meetings are relaxed and friendly, and all visitors receive a warm welcome. Our format works really well and the organisation is going from strength to strength.
“Our members have become an extended sales team for each other and will always turn to the wider FaB community first when they are looking to share or refer business.
“We also bring in speakers and share information that is useful for small businesses. This year, for example, we have a focus on branding and marketing, which includes monthly tips from Domino Effect, and championing each other’s businesses online wherever possible.
“Some of our businesses now get a majority of their work through FaB Networking. If anyone would like to find out more, we’d love to see them at the launch event.
“As we operate a one seat policy, we do advise business owners who would like to join to do so as soon as possible. Because seats can get snapped up quickly, we’ve waived the £99 joining fee for anyone who signs up on launch night.”
Meetings generally follow the format of a welcome and business news discussion, 60-second introduction round, guest speaker, an educational slot, open networking and refreshments.
The formation of the new Coventry group is part of wider expansion plans to grow FaB Networking across the region in the coming years.
