Appeal after man stabbed during Aston robbery

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was stabbed following a robbery in Aston.

The 20-year-old victim was approached by three males who took his wallet in Lichfield Road at around 6.30pm on Monday (8 October).

As he tried to resist, he was stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and discharged that night.

Officers have released images of these males they want to speak to in connection with the violence.

Inspector Hannah Whitehouse, from Force CID, said: “Fortunately the victim was not seriously injured but this type of violence will not be tolerated.

“We are keen to speak to anyone in the area at the time and can help us trace whoever was responsible.”
